CV Real Estate AG concludes lease agreement for AURUM with well-known IT service provider for 3,200 sqm

(Munich/Augsburg, July 29, 2022) The first tenant has been confirmed – CV Real Estate AG, one of the leading project development and investment companies in Germany, has now signed the first lease for its new AURUM project in Augsburg. MaibornWolff GmbH is the signatory and future tenant of approx. 3,200 sqm of state-of-the-art office space in the gleaming gold ensemble directly adjacent to the main train station. The IT consulting and software engineering company, whose clients include BMW, Deutsche Bahn and Payback, will move its headquarters within Augsburg after completion of the project development in the last quarter of 2023 and will thus not only have one of the most innovative locations in one of Bavaria's most important economic centers. "The employees will also enjoy the best new-work concepts, infrastructure and perfect transport connections," says Christian Vogrincic, board member and CEO of CV Real Estate AG: "We are very pleased about the successful conclusion shortly before the start of construction."

The real estate consulting company NAI Apollo has been commissioned with the marketing of AURUM. The Munich-based project development and investment company is already conducting negotiations with other well-known prospective tenants. The interest is great, because AURUM will offer future users everything that modern work entails in terms of comfort, flexibility, sustainability and local amenities in the middle of Augsburg's city center: "We are confident that other top-class companies will follow and are already in close exchange with some of them," says Christian Vogrincic. MaibornWolff GmbH, which was founded in 1989 and also has locations in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Tunis and Valencia, among others, and employs a total of 700 people, signed a 10-year lease.

Highlight for Augsburg

AURUM will offer its users innovative, flexible office space with high-quality fittings and roof terraces as well as a sustainability concept. For example, the property will be realized in accordance with ESG guidelines and the development will focus on energy efficiency of the building and sustainable building materials, among other things. A LEED Gold core + shell certification is targeted. The renowned architectural firm Henning Larsen was commissioned for the planning on one of the last development sites in the “Fuggerstadt”. Characteristic features of the property, which has a total area of around 19,000 sqm on a 3,849 sqm site, are the shiny gold façade and the curved crown shape of the roofs of the individual structures, which rise in a staircase-like manner. With AURUM, CV Real Estate AG is further enhancing the entire area around Augsburg Central Station, which will be developed into a forward-looking hub for long-distance, regional and local passenger transport in the coming years, and enriching the city with ultra-modern office and complementary retail and restaurant space on the first floor.
